Getting Ready for Boats!
The University of Rochester Sailing Team has recently received a very generous donation from UR alum, Tom Schwartz, to purchase a fleet of 6 new Club 420s (See our post regarding the selling off of URSC’s existing FJ fleet.) The team is expecting boats to arrive by mid-April. In preparation for the new fleet, the team needs to purchase covers and dollies for them. This $6000 additional investment is essential to maintaining the new fleet in top condition. The team is asking for your help.

2nd Annual Spring Raffle
The rules:
– Every $10 buys you 1 raffle ticket
– The raffle prize is valued at $200 and includes a Gill dry bag, UR Sailing Patagonia fleece, a Boat Locker gift card, and other miscellaneous prizes
– The top 6 donors over $250 will be offered the opportunity to name one of our new boats

Who is the URSC?
Since the team’s founding in 1952, the University of Rochester Sailing Team, which is completely student-run, has made leaps and bounds in transforming into a competitive collegiate sailing program. Throughout this process, they have become a close-knit network of sailors and friends, and in this way, the team has become much much more than just a sailing program. Their hope is that by working to strengthen themselves in sailing ability, team size, and permanence, the program can continue to provide the kind of camaraderie, support, and memorable experiences their team enjoys to future members.
