Seneca Sailing Academy is a non-profit organization that provides youth and adult community members with sailing instruction and race training. The Academy is hosted by Seneca Yacht Club, located on Boody’s Hill Road, just off route 96A on the east side of Seneca Lake.
Youth Sailing is offered at three levels:
Level 1 Age Range: 7 – 9 years old (basic)
Level 2 Age Ranges: 9 – 13 (generally – beginner /intermediate)
Level 3 Age Range: 10 – 17 (generally intermediate / advanced)
Youth Racing is offered at two levels:
Level 1 Age Range: 9 – 13 ~Prerequisites: minimum of 2 previous sessions of youth sailing level 2 &/or 3
Level 2 Age Range: 10 – 17 ~Prerequisites: minimum of 3 previous sessions of youth sailing level 2 &/or 3
