Info from the webpage:

Classes are held at Oak Orchard Yacht Club, 1103 Archbald Road, Waterport, NY and on Oak Orchard Creek and Lake Ontario.

Applicants must be nine years old by July 1 of the year they enroll, and be able to swim 100 yards while wearing their own Coast Guard approved life vest (PFD).

Students will be grouped according to ability for both classroom and on the water instruction.

We maintain two fleets of instructional boats:
•    Optimist Dinghies – the most popular boat in the world, is a single sail, stable boat designed for use by children.
•    Club/Collegiate 420 – the 420 is a popular class boat raced at many of the colleges and universities on the east coast, it is designed to be sailed by a skipper and one crew.
The instructor/student ratio depends on the number and type of boats in the class, but will be no less than one instructor to ten students. All instructors are certified US Sailing instructors and maintain American Red Cross First Aid and Life Saving certification.

Each session is two weeks long, Monday thru Friday 9 AM until 4 PM.
Session 1: July 8 to July 19, 2013
Session 2: July 22 to August 2, 2013

Lunch should be brought in a waterproof bag.

Participants will be getting wet, so wearing bathing suits and bringing dry outer clothing is recommended. Changing facilities are available. You must bring your own PFD (life vest) and wear it at all times.

The last Friday of each session is family day. Parents, brothers, sisters, friends and relatives are invited to a picnic lunch and to watch, sail or swim. It’s a great opportunity for the young sailors to show the skills they have learned.
